Razer has announced the Razer Naga V3 Pro, the latest evolution of its iconic MMO gaming mouse, designed to adapt to different genres and playstyles through a selection of swappable magnetic side plates.
Building on the familiar ergonomic Naga design, the new mouse combines its signature multi-button layout with upgraded performance, improved customisation and additional control options designed to make it suitable for everything from MMOs and MOBAs to FPS games and everyday PC use.
The Naga V3 Pro Evolves an MMO Classic
The Razer Naga has been a staple of MMO gaming since its introduction in 2009, with its 12-button thumb grid becoming one of the mouse’s defining features.
The Naga V3 Pro retains that familiar approach while expanding its flexibility. Players can now switch between three different magnetic side plates, allowing the mouse to be configured specifically for the game being played.
- 12-button layout for MMOs
- 6-button layout for MOBAs and battle royale games
- 2-button layout for FPS games and everyday use
Each side plate can be attached magnetically in seconds without requiring any tools, giving players a straightforward way to change the mouse’s configuration between games.
More Buttons and Customisation
The Naga V3 Pro also introduces two quick-access edge buttons beside the left mouse button, allowing players to make on-the-fly DPI adjustments.
A lockable ring finger button also returns following feedback from the Naga community. The button was previously removed from the Naga V2 Pro because of concerns about accidental clicks, but the new lockable design allows players to enable it when required or disable it when it isn’t needed.
The side buttons use double-shot moulded keys, designed to help maintain the durability of the button legends over extended use.
Players can also save up to five onboard memory profiles, allowing custom layouts, macros and DPI settings to be stored directly on the mouse. This makes it easier to switch between different configurations and carry a preferred setup between PCs.
HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2 Adds More Control
The Razer HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2 gives the Naga V3 Pro several different scrolling modes depending on the task.
Standard Tactile mode provides a familiar notched 24-step scrolling experience, while Precision Tactile mode increases this to 48 steps for more precise control when cycling through abilities, weapons, menus and inventories.
Players can also use Free-Spin mode for faster scrolling, while Smart-Reel mode automatically switches between tactile and free-spin scrolling depending on how quickly the wheel is being turned.
These settings can be adjusted through Razer Synapse.
Up to 280 Hours of Battery Life
The Naga V3 Pro uses Razer HyperSpeed Wireless for its wireless connection and offers up to 155 hours of battery life when using HyperSpeed Wireless.
Battery life increases to up to 280 hours when using Bluetooth, making the mouse suitable for extended gaming sessions as well as everyday PC use.
The mouse can also be connected via USB Type-C while charging, allowing players to continue using it without waiting for the battery to recharge.
Additional charging options are available through the Razer HyperFlux V2 Charging System and Razer Mouse Dock Pro, although both are sold separately.
50,000 DPI Focus Pro Optical Sensor
Under the hood, the Naga V3 Pro features the Razer Focus Pro 50K Optical Sensor Gen-3, offering tracking of up to 50,000 DPI, 930 IPS and 90 G acceleration.
The sensor also uses Frame Sync to align sensor scanning with the display, helping reduce the delay between physical mouse movement and the resulting response on screen.
Razer has also equipped the mouse with its Optical Mouse Switches Gen-4, which are rated for more than 100 million clicks and feature a 12% lighter actuation force.
One Mouse for Multiple Genres
The main focus of the Naga V3 Pro is flexibility. Rather than limiting the mouse to MMO gaming, Razer has designed it to adapt to different genres through its interchangeable side plates and extensive customisation options.
Players can configure the mouse with the 12-button MMO layout, switch to six buttons for MOBAs and battle royale games, or use the simpler two-button configuration for FPS titles and general PC use.
Combined with onboard profiles, programmable buttons, macros, adjustable DPI and multiple scrolling modes, the Naga V3 Pro provides a considerable amount of control from a single mouse.

Razer Naga V3 Pro
With the Razer Naga V3 Pro, Razer is taking its long-running MMO mouse design and making it considerably more adaptable.
The combination of three interchangeable side plates, upgraded sensor technology, improved optical switches, onboard profiles and extended battery life means the Naga V3 Pro is designed to work across a much wider range of games than the traditional MMO mouse.
Razer has yet to make the Naga V3 Pro simply an MMO mouse. Instead, it is positioning the latest Naga as a single gaming mouse capable of adapting to almost any genre.
