A new Overwatch Contenders season gets underway this weekend, and top teams from across the world will be aiming to kick off their Path to Pro story in style. An expanded program this year includes more competitors, more regions, and more seasons throughout 2018โwherein players will fight for prize money, bragging rights, and the opportunity to be noticed by Overwatch League teams.
Contenders Europe features a total of 12 teams battling it out, with 2017 champions Team Gigantti returning this year alongside Bazooka Puppiez and Team Singularity. Theyโll be challenged by a multitude of reformed and new teams, including British Hurricaneโthe academy team for Overwatch League squad London Spitfireโand six fresh rosters who earned their spots through the Open Division.
