Doesn’t it feel nail-biting when something big is about to happen on the big screen? Being greeted by the credits screen a mere couple of seconds later leaves you thirsting for more… until the next sequel. As luck would have it, there are more than a couple of those planned to be released in 2019 and beyond, so we’ve compiled a list featuring the best of them all.
Before you get too excited to connect to your favorite streaming service, a word of caution. Did you know that your ISP knows where you’re trying to connect to? And if too many people decide to stream at once, you may have to deal with bandwidth throttling.
Because of this, studying up on the best VPN for Android and other devices is a good idea to safeguard your online privacy. In addition to that, it will give you access to additional streaming channels that may be blocked in your current region.
With this out of the way, make sure not to miss out on the following movie gems that are scheduled to hit the big screen in the near future:
- Indiana Jones 5
Despite his quite-apparent age, Harrison Ford will be wearing his legendary fedora once again. Our favorite archaeologist will be embarking on a new adventure set to take place in an environment that is still unknown. Will he get over his fear of snakes this time around? Time will tell!
- Pirates of the Caribbean
Commercializing the movie series cannot possibly take away from the charisma of the good old pirate crew we’ve grown to know and love. Although Jack Sparrow won’t be there to share his wits, a female pirate captain will pick up his legacy and take it from there.
- Coming to America 2
It’s time to pack the bags and get ready for another trip to the USA. As Prince Akeem finds out about his son that lives there, he is determined to find him. If the lucky stars align, the movie will arrive come 2020. Much awaited indeed!
- Jumanji 2
The drums can be heard from a distance, which can only indicate one thing – it’s time to visit the jungle once more. As luck would have it, the wait won’t have to be too long, because the end of 2019 (the movie’s release date) is not that far away.
- Bill & Ted Face the Music
Can these two metalheads create the ultimate song? Before 2019 is over, we will know for sure. Since the original writers are back on the case to write the ultimate script, this is bound to be good.
- Rambo: Last Blood
John Rambo is all about action and well before 2019 has left the calendar, we will see our action hero squaring off against the Mexican cartel. Adrian Grunberg is the film’s director, so brace yourselves for an action-packed evening next to your friends, family members, and a bowl of popcorn.
- Sherlock Holmes 3
The greatest detective has saved London more than once, and the stage is set for him to show his problem-solving brain once more. There’s no doubt that Guy Ritchie will pick up the role and do the character justice to please the fans.
- McClane
John McClane saved nearly one half of the world, and we can never get tired of him and his prowess. Another installment in this ever-popular action franchise is almost a welcome sight. When it hits the fan, can he predict the next move his enemies will make and take a stand against all odds? Yippee-ki-yay!
- Doctor Sleep
The Shining has become a part of our history. Now, the horror movie scene has another piece to look forward to, and Doctor Sleep will be gracing the big screens in October 2019. The sequel to this horror story was written in 2013, so the filmmakers had plenty of time to do it justice and transform it into a movie we’ll never forget. Since it’s built around exploring Danny’s psychic gift, we will see if anything reminds us of his father.
- 23 Jump Street
What’s not to love about a cop comedy? Since 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street were so successful, a sequel is in order. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill will be entering the scene as undercover cops. These two are both as odd as it gets, so we will more than likely see them get tangled up in difficult situations for our amusement countless times more. Jenko and Schmidt! We can hardly wait.
