The Razer BlackShark V3 Pro aims to be a “do-it-all” wireless gaming headset — meant to work smoothly on both PC and console (PS5 included), offer solid audio quality, decent comfort for long sessions, and enough features to justify its mid/high-tier price. Used on both my PC and PS5, it generally delivers on many fronts, though it has a few quirks worth knowing before you commit.
Main features & specs you should know
The Razer BlackShark V3 Pro supports 2.4 GHz wireless (via a dongle), Bluetooth, and also offers USB-C charging/audio. It features drivers tuned for gaming audio — with a frequency response covering the usual gaming range — and a detachable mic for voice chat or streaming. According to tests, the headset promises around 70 hours of battery life on PC, and somewhat less when using it on console.

Comfort-wise, The Razer BlackShark V3 Pro has a reasonably light-feeling build (though not ultra-light), padded earcups and a headband with decent clamping pressure that doesn’t crush your skull — a balance between snug and comfortable. ANC (active noise cancelling) is included in this model — a step up from earlier versions — which helps cut down ambient distractions when gaming or relaxing with music.
Audio performance — games, chat, immersion
On PC, the sound from The Razer BlackShark V3 Pro feels well-rounded: in shooters, you get clear footsteps and positional cues; explosions and environmental effects have weight; voice chat is clean over the detachable mic. On PS5, audio also works solidly — soundstage is good enough for immersive single-player titles, and multiplayer voice chat works fine. That said, some users report that volume-knob increments feel too coarse on PS5 (you may get 15-20% jumps per notch, which can make fine volume tuning harder), though I never experienced this at all, so who knows what is causing it.

ANC does a respectable job of cutting low-level background noise (room hum, PC fan noise), though it’s not “noise-cancelling headphone” level — more “good enough for gaming or watching videos quietly.” On PC, using the wireless dongle gives low latency and a stable connection, which is crucial for shooters or fast-paced action games.
Comfort & build quality
The Razer BlackShark V3 Pro uses a yoke-style band shape with soft padding on the earcups and headband. It feels solid and durable for its price; plastics aren’t cheap-feeling, and the overall weight is manageable for long sessions. On extended sessions (several hours of gaming or chat), I didn’t notice soreness or pressure points — though some might find it slightly heavier than ultra-light headsets. The detachable mic works well, is simple to put on/off, and gives a clear voice quality on PC. On PS5, voice chat worked fine too, though I had to keep the volume knob in mind because of the coarser volume increments.

Features, convenience & versatility
One of the big pluses for The BlackShark V3 Pro is its versatility: wireless dongle, Bluetooth and USB-C options let you easily switch between PC, PS5, laptop or even mobile. The detachable mic and comfortable earcups make it a flexible headset for gaming, streaming, or media consumption. The built-in ANC helps with noise reduction if you’re in a noisy environment. On PC, the associated software lets you tweak EQ and audio profiles if you care about customisation (though on console, you’re limited to basic volume/control).
Where it falls short / things to be aware of
The Razer BlackShark V3 Pro battery life is decent, but doesn’t match some ultra-long-endurance headsets — especially if you run ANC or ultra-low-latency wireless mode. Some reviewers mention real-world battery usage under heavy settings is notably less than the headline number. On PS5, the volume control can be a bit clunky due to large jumps per notch. ANC is helpful, but not hi-fi noise cancelling — so don’t expect to block strong external noise completely. Finally, while the build and comfort are solid for most, this isn’t a premium “boutique” headset — materials and feel are good, but not luxury-level.

Verdict
If you want a wireless headset that works across PC and PS5, with decent audio, good comfort, and enough features for everyday gaming, The Razer BlackShark V3 Pro is a strong contender. It’s especially good for players who want flexibility (PC + console + mobile), comfortable long sessions, and reliable audio without overspending on premium audiophile gear. It won’t please those after top-tier ANC, ultra-lightweight wear, or studio-level sound — but for most gamers, it’s a well-balanced, practical choice.
