Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC Season 5 kicks off today with Phase 1, titled Siege of Las Vegas. The new phase introduces two maps, a faster take on Battle Royale and a limited-time Dead Space event arriving later this month.
Players can watch the new content in action in the Season 5 gameplay trailer.
Two New Maps Bring the Fight to Las Vegas
Phase 1 introduces Vegas Strip and Area 51, offering two distinct battlegrounds. Vegas Strip takes the fight into the heart of the famous neon-lit destination, turning its iconic surroundings into a chaotic combat zone.
Area 51 moves the action away from the bright lights of the city and towards the perimeter of the secretive military installation, giving players another location to explore and fight across.
Rapid Royale Delivers Faster REDSEC Matches
Rapid Royale offers a new way to play Battlefield REDSEC, providing a compact, fast-paced version of Battle Royale with fewer players and shorter rounds. The objective remains familiar: be the last squad standing.
Eliminating enemies rewards squads with redeploy tokens, allowing fallen teammates to return to the fight. However, players will need to secure more kills to earn these tokens as each match progresses, making survival and squad coordination increasingly important.
The new mode is showcased in the Rapid Royale trailer.
Dead Space Event Arrives October 20
From October 20 to November 7, Battlefield 6 and REDSEC will host a limited-time scenario inspired by Dead Space. The event celebrates the horror series with environmental areas drawing inspiration from the 2023 remake, alongside unique cosmetics for players to unlock.
With two new maps available now, a faster Battle Royale experience and a horror-themed event on the way, Season 5 Phase 1 gives Battlefield players several new reasons to jump back into the fight.
