Blades of Fire – Version 2.0 Steam Launch Trailer
A Dark Fantasy World Built Around Brutal Combat
In Blades of Fire, players step into the role of Aran de Lira, the last warrior capable of forging true steel in a world where metal has mysteriously turned to stone.
The game focuses heavily on strategic combat and precision weapon crafting, rewarding patience and observation rather than reckless attacks.
Players must forge weapons carefully, as every strike of the hammer matters during the crafting process. Battles are deliberate, weighty and unforgiving, requiring players to study enemy weaknesses and exploit openings with perfect timing.
Those who charge into combat without strategy will quickly meet a brutal end.
Version 2.0 Adds Major New Features
The newly released Version 2.0 update introduces a huge amount of fresh content designed to improve replayability and increase the challenge for veteran players.
New Game Plus
Players can now replay Aran’s adventure while carrying over most progression and stats from previous playthroughs.
Enemies now scale with player health, while 27 exclusive forge statues unlock new weapon parts to further expand combat possibilities.
Titanium Difficulty
The new Titanium Difficulty mode offers an extremely punishing experience aimed at highly skilled players.
Enemies feature increased health, stronger armour, and a 20% damage boost, while bosses have been rebalanced with far stricter timing mechanics.
Anvil Trials
Players can revisit defeated bosses in a special arena challenge mode called Anvil Trials.
These timed encounters reward players with useful upgrades, although returning bosses now feature additional mechanics to make fights even tougher.
Arcana System
The new Arcana system allows players to collect medals during Anvil Trials and exchange them with Aran’s companion Adso in return for powerful passive buffs and ancient magical abilities.
Transmutation System
The update also introduces Transmutation, allowing players to convert crafting materials into other discovered resources directly at the forge.
