Team17 and developer Beehive Studios have confirmed that LumenTale: Memories of Trey will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later this year.
The RPG originally launched successfully on Steam and Nintendo Switch in May 2026, combining creature collecting, turn-based battles, customisation and crafting with an adventure focused on exploration and discovery.
LumenTale: Memories of Trey follows Trey, a young hero who awakens in the enchanting world of Talea with no memories of his past. Determined to uncover the truth about who he is, Trey sets out on an adventure across the mysterious world while encountering a wide variety of magical creatures known as Animon.
These creatures are imbued with Anivis, a powerful energy that gives them the ability to influence the emotions and souls of living beings throughout Talea.
Players can discover and capture more than 140 different types of Animon, each offering their own abilities, skills, elemental affinities and emotional attributes. These creatures can then be trained and used in turn-based battles across both PvE and PvP gameplay.
Combat ranges from 1v1 encounters to intense 4v4 battles, giving players plenty of opportunities to experiment with different Animon combinations and build a team suited to their preferred playstyle.
Explore the World of Talea
Talea is a large and diverse world filled with secrets, quests and different regions to explore. As Trey travels across the world, players will encounter new Animon, gather resources and uncover more about the mysterious events surrounding his lost memories.
Beyond exploration and battling, players can also take part in cooking and crafting. Fountains found throughout the world provide places to rest and prepare food using recipes discovered or purchased during the adventure.
Resources gathered during exploration can also be crafted into useful items to support Trey’s journey.
The Anispace
When players need a break from exploring Talea, they can head to The Anispace, an alternate realm dedicated to training and spending time with their collected Animon.
The Anispace also allows players to create a personalised home for their creatures. Furniture can be crafted or purchased from vendors and arranged to customise the space.
Spending time with Animon in The Anispace also strengthens the bond between Trey and his creatures. Building these relationships can improve their effectiveness when they return to battle.
Collect Rare Animon
LumenTale: Memories of Trey also features unique Art Cards that can increase the chances of discovering specific Animon, including rare Lost variants.
Players can use these systems to help build their ideal team, while the Animon Trade Station allows creatures to be traded locally or online.
