Digital Extremes made waves at Tokyo Game Show (TGS) by announcing that the next Warframe update, Koumei & the Five Fates, will arrive on Wednesday, October 2, across all current platforms. During a live presentation from the TGS Main Stage as part of their September Devstream, Digital Extremes unveiled Koumei, the 58th Warframe, also known as the dice-maiden. Koumei’s ability kit, inspired by RNG (random number generation), brings a new twist to the game’s strategic depth.

Developed in partnership with Sumo Digital, the update includes more than just a new Warframe:
- New Shrine Defense Mission: Players will face off against an Infested mini-boss, the fearsome Infested Oni, adding fresh challenges to the game.
- Quality-of-Life Improvements: A host of updates aimed at enhancing the experience for new players.
- Deluxe Cosmetics: New premium skins and customization options for players looking to elevate their Warframe style.
To top off the event, Digital Extremes teased the release of a playable teaser demo for their upcoming expansion Warframe: 1999, which is set to drop on October 16.
